I know, I know, you folks in the south and parts of the east are paying $1.80 a gallon for gas but $2.15 a gallon in California is incredible. And its still going down.
OK, I admit it, I buy my gas at Costco. THere’s a Costco filling station about 10- blocks from my house and I regularly fill up there. However, even so, Costco is only about 5 cents lower than the lowest you can get elsewhere.
Gas prices have fallen by almost a buck a gallon in the past six months. That’s almost a third. Now, if gasoline prices were truly reflected in crude oil prices, the price of crude should be $40 a barrel. I know that crude prices do affect the price of gas, but so do other things, like supply and demand (its after Labor day), the amount of stock on hand, etc.
I couldn’t help it — I just needed to tell someone — $2.15 a gallon. WOW
