Press reports are now coming in that L and R CEO Joe Lumer drowned Monday while on vacation in Argentina. His body was found in the Rio de la Plata. Local authorities have ruled out foul play, but the circumstances surrounding his death are unclear.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 3, at 2 PM at the University Synagogue, 11960 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. His obituary in the LA Times can be found here.
