We are in the middle of the annual rush for exhibitors to sign up for the IPI show. They have a very fancy system on line real time sign up. It works like this = Beginning at noon (EST) on Friday, everyone who cares about where their booth should be will be on line and fighting for booth space. The exhibitor with the biggest band-with and fastest computer and best fingers will get the best spaces. I know of some who will have at least three or four people working simultaneously ( from the same company) to fight to get the best space.
This seems a bit over the top to me. You know — Some company who is signing up for the first time could get the best space because they have the fastest computer or best computer operator. And some company that has been exhibiting for 30 years could end up at the end of the line. Just doesn’t seem right to me.
I have a solution, it works well. Anyone want to hear about it?
