Lost my ticket

Lost my ticket

I flew to DC yesterday. Left my car at an off airport location in Atlanta. When I returned last night I found I had lost my ticket. I went up to the exit, hat in hand, and confessed my sin. “No problem, he says, when did you come in?” 6AM says I. “Covered or uncovered? Uncovered. That’ll be $8.50. Sigh

I wonder how many ‘lost tickets” they have in a day? This is a major off airport operator with locations in at least 10 cities. And they don’t do a nightly inventory? No cameras on entrance or exit. I know for a fact that they have cctv in their booths in other locations, I have seen it.

Wow – There were at least 1000 cars in the lot. That’s grossing close to 10K a day. I wonder what they could gross if they had some good inventory controls?
