Central Parking isn’t the only large parking organization up for sale. National Car Parks (NCP) here in the UK is on the block. Purchased from Cendant only two years ago, the country’s largest parking operator was stripped of all its real assets by new owner Civen (they sold off all the car parks NCP owned outright and then leased them back and operate them.
Rumor here at Parkex/Traffex is that the list price is 550,000,000 pounds – that just shy of $1 billion.

John,
Am I wrong but I get $550,000 GBP equals approximately $1,000,000 dollars (1 million).
Of course you are right — I mixed my sheckels and kopeks. Correction above
