Further to my comments earlier about service being too good at Enterprise.
I got my car in Dallas from Budget. I walked to a TV monitor, found my name and the location of my car. Went to the car, got in, fired it up, and drove to the exit. There a very efficient person entered my driver’s license number in a computer. I asked for a map — she said "Where are you headed" I said Hilton She opened a book — checked something then handed me a sheet of paper that gave me directions from the exact spot where I was sitting to the Hilton — The entire transaction took about two minutes.
I then sat in the lane for a couple of minutes checking the map and comparing it to the paper she gave me (the paper was absolutely accurate.) I apologized for blocking the lane and she said – No problem, take your time.
I don’t know whether its Budget, Southern Hospitality, or Texas, but I will tell you, the experience was perfect.
This was the "happy medium" of good service I want.
