Now we Buy an Aussie Company

Mark Dee and Bill Dugan over at Integrated Parking Solutions are in the throes of entering an agreement to work with Declan Ryan’s Database Consultants "DCA" located in Australia. Read the release here. I understand that "due diligence" is underway on both sides and final agreements are forthcoming. I’ll keep you posted.

I heard rumors of some kind of activity between the two companies at the Intertraffic show in April but they were too preliminary to note.

This is the reverse of a trend that has been taking place in our business with Oz’s Maquerie Bank buying Icon Parking, plus a number of off airport parking operations and of course Salt Bush (Reino) buying Enforcement Technology, Duncan, and Citation Management.

Australian banks have a lot of available cash due to the countries redo of their social security system. Seems if you work in Australia you are required to put a small amount of your money in a private fund for your retirement. The banks then invest this money and we see what happens.  The economy of the country booms.  Look around — Australia owns a lot of America with shopping centers, toll roads, parking facilities, and the like only the tip of the… well you know.
