Oh you Devil

Blogging from Hobart, that in Tasmania, Australia you geography challenged parking nuts.

This beautiful island which is located due south of Melbourne about an hour’s flight.  It reminds one of the area around Seattle or Portland, with large forests (except the forests are Eucalyptus). The weather is cool.

Hobart has a population of about 200,000 people and is located on in inlet.  Once again its mindful of Seattle. Its an old city, with a lot of turn of the 19th century buildings.

Me — Oh, I’m giving my speech about the "High cost of free parking" that I have stolen with permission from Don Shoup and my description of parking in the US.  Its a meeting of the association of Australian Parking enforcement groups. Everyone works for a city.  Should be a lot of fun.

I’ll let you know if anyone stayed awake

PS, its a long flight down here. almost 15 hours. They tell me the best way to "reset" you body clock is to stay out in the sun as long as possible. That works fine, unless the phone in your room rings at 2 AM and you are out of the shower and dressed before you notice the time

Fosters is the Aussie word for beer.
