Parking in Europe Generates $40 billion

In a report released today at the European Parking Congress, we find that parking in Europe has a value of just a tad under $40 billion.  It also employs around 570,000 people. Wow!

The numbers come from a survey done by the European Parking Association and include all European countries, not just those who have membership in the EPA.  You can read about the report here.

Those are pretty large numbers, and if one assumes that the US population and size is roughly equal to that of Europe, then our numbers should be up there.  Right?
