Most homes in London predate cars so there are few garages. If you have a car you park on the street. As I walked to the underground this morning, I noted the car types parked overnight — 2 Maseratis, 4 Mercedes, a Rolls Royce and various Audis, Volvos, and Range Rovers.
I doubt if owners of such rolling stock would trust them overnight in the US. However over here, its a way of life.
