Parking Rebate because of the Weather?

I just find this strange. Massport, the entity that runs Boston’s Logan Airport, is offering rebates to parkers who were trapped with cancelled flights because of Hurricane Sandy. Seems all you have to do is pay the full amount, then send a copy of your receipt to someone at Massport, and you will be issued a rebate.

Weather causes flight cancellations all the time. I doubt if there is a day that flights aren’t cancelled due to weather. So does this mean that any time my flight is cancelled and I have to stay in DC an extra day rather than return to Boston and pick up my car, I will get a rebate. Are we becoming a nation of wimps?
