This is a tardy response to your Patriotism blog. You may not know I am a four year WWII Vet. I really enjoyed all of your comments. I have always put up the flag on all appropriate holidays.
I was an Engineering Officer in a Fighter Squadron On Aircraft Carrier CV-11 USS Intrepid based in the Southwest Pacific fighting the Japanese. My role was to maintain the aircraft.
When you come to Chicago, I’ll tell you some interesting war stories. that are mostly true.
