Parking — Hope or Dispair

The city of Baltimore is using parking meters to collect money for the homeless. Read about it here.

Its a great idea — The old wind up meters have been painted red and the clock face changed to read "Despair" when there is no money and "Hope" when money has been put in the meter. The arrow then moves slowly from "Hope to "despair" after the money is inserted.

Hey, a great idea for those old work horses that have collected so many millions over the years. They aren’t ready for the glue factory yet.
