Parknews.biz just gets better and better plus self driving cars.

Parknews.biz editor Astrid has made a change in the layout that greatly enhances the product. She has changed the center column from “Trending” to “Smart cities/Smart Parking. This makes it easy to find articles about this topic, including electric and autonomous vehicles.

After reading the blog post below, I toured the column wondering just how many stories we were promoting about self driving vehicles and their impact on the industry. It seems that the majority of articles on this topic threw a negative light on the autonomous vehicles.

When I asked Astrid about it she commented that when the topic first came up, all the articles were written by technocrats who had ‘skin in the game’ and there was no dialogue about the topic. Now, however, mainstream magazines are getting into the picture and the dialogue has begun. People are asking hard questions and those who before simply made up stories are now required to back up their musings with facts.

Just today, there is an article about the fact that autonomous vehicles will take much more power to run the on-board computers and sensors. That means the range will be considerably reduced. Whoops. There was another that posited that existing ‘connected’ vehicles could be made much safer and greatly reduce fatalities. No need to wait for “autonomous.”

Check out parknews.biz. We are printing facts, and they are on your side.
