Philly Fights Back…

Naturally the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation didn’t take well to the New York Times’ article on Parking Wars. My comments were benign but since I am so widely read, this blog entry caught their eye. Fair Enough.

They sent me a nice email with a lot of information about parking in Philly. Here’s a link to their web site with a plethora of good information of how to park in Philadelphia.

They note that a quarter of our population lives within a five hour drive and nearly ¾ of visitors arrive by car. The web site and a new pamphlet they have out gives drivers a leg up on parking in Ben Franklin’s home town.

I particularly like the interactive map, and hints as to how to save money when parking in Philadelphia.

Good Job. But, they (and we as an industry) still need to get that damn Parking Wars off the air.
