We are excited to announce that we have shifted the dates of PIE 2021 to Jul 18-21 and the venue to the Gaylord Texan Resort adjacent to DFW airport in Dallas, Tx. We are very excited to be at such a beautiful resort. This change allows us to be in a state that is currently open and moves us to the third quarter of 2021. It permits us to be together for an in-person event.
The additional time will allow for more vaccinations to be administered and for both attendees and exhibitors to be more comfortable meeting face to face. Our original location in Schaumberg, IL has been unable to predict how their state government will be handling ongoing restrictions.
This was not an easy decision to make. We had put a lot of planning into the event scheduled for Schaumburg, Il, but events told us that we simply had to make a move. Whereas Texas had been holding exhibitions and large scale events for some time, there is no guarantee that Illinois will open its doors to visitors any time soon. We had to look to a place that we could safely hold our event not based on “what if’s” but based on what we could see on the ground.
While we were doing our site visit this week in Dallas, there was a wedding on site for over 1000 people, and starting Wednesday of this week, an exhibition and conference with over 800 people in attendance. The exhibit hall is nearly twice the size of the one we booked in Schaumburg, giving us plenty of room for more exhibits and wide aisles.
The hotel is world class and committed to cleanliness and safety. Signs like this one are everywhere:
Everything you would need is on site. A world class steakhouse, an Italian restaurant, a sports bar, a large place featuring Mexican food, an outdoor beer garden, and if you bring the kids, a brand new water park they will love. We were given the opportunity to dine with the master chefs and I will tell you, the food at PIE 2021 will be something to remember.
