I arrived in the steel city last night and after a quick burger in the local burger joint, got a good night’s sleep. Today it begins. I have already received a note from Helen Sullivan from the IPI wondering if she has my email correct so she can forward news releases to the correct address. She also added that they were expecting over 2,000 attendees at this year’s conference and Exhibition.
I am with them in that. Over 225 companies have spent a million bucks to come to this beautiful city (and yes, it is one) at the confluence of the Monongahela and the Allegheny to ply their trade. They deserve the best that the IPI and the Parking Industry has to offer.
So put the kids in the back of the Chevy, hop that plane in Dallas, survive the plane change through Detroit, and get to Pittsburgh. Andy tells me (he came in early and set up our booth) that the show is huge, the booths exceptional, and the venue the best.
Here’s the Monongahela confluencing with the Allegheny to form the Ohio:
I’ll head over after breakfast and take a walk around, snap a few preview shots, and get them up here and on our Facebook page so you will have an idea of what the Largest Parking Event on the Planet looks like.
Good luck the Shawn, Bonnie and the rest of the IPI. May this be the best event evah.
