Anyone know about “progressive parking fines?” That is, you pay $10 for your first citation, $20 for your second, $30 for your third, and then get life in stir after that. Know any cities that do this and does it work? It seems like a good idea to me. People who transgress once in a blue moon should pay a small fine, but scofflaws, hit em where it hurts.
