Vancouver Parking Entrepreneur Robert Ziola has another business to add to his list of successes. He has opening a dealer/installer operation in Western Canada called APARC. His group is representing Skidata, Cale, and Rytec in, depending on the company, British Columbia and Alberta.
I’ve known Robert a long time and he has the energy and business acumen to make this operations a success. He comes from a parking operating background (Select Services, and Upark), and manufacturing, (Lexis becoming Cubic.) Manufacturers need good representation, and with his history, Robert should do the trick for these three.
His problem — Many customers want him to come in and operate as well as supply product. He knows that there is a big conflict there, installing companies simply can’t be operators, too. However, he has operations in his blood and its tempting. He says he’s on a 12 step program to stop the lure of operations.
