Seven companies have been qualified by the city of Pittsburgh to bid on the city’s parking operations. The city expects the lease of the 11 garages and 9000 metered spaces will generate $200,000,000 in a one time influx of cash for the city.
Companies on the “qualified” list are:”
• Chicago-based Standard Parking Corp.
• Madrid-based Cintra
• Central Parking System from Nashville
• New York-based J.P. Morgan Investment Management
• New York-based Ampco System Parking
• LAZ Parking in Hartford, Conn.
• Chicago-based InterPark, a subsidiary of GE Capital.
