Speaking of Paul Manning

Speaking of Paul Manning

For the first time I had a number of people come up to me at the IPI show and talk about that mystery series I write each month starring ace detective Paul Manning. One person actually told me that he waited with baited breath each month for the next installment – and he wasn’t being sarcastic. I’m touched. Honestly.

I am fortunate that I can have a little fun with our industry and write mysteries that involve the Mob, consultants, valet parking, stack parking, money laundering, blackmail and in every case murder most foul. Of course, none of that happens in real life.

If you like, you can go to our web site here and read all the episodes without having to wait for the next edition of PT. At the suggestion of one of the folks at the IPI show, we are turning “Death by Parking” into book form and it will be available in a few months.

  1. I don’t believe for a minute that anyone waits for your monthly delivery of Ace’s parking crime exploits and that someone stopped you at a trade show to discuss it. What a waste of time, you maroon. This post just highlights another reason to stop reading this blog.

  2. Ernie, you must be reading the blog or you would not have noticed this post. Also, I think maroon is a color.

  3. Thanks for the Defense, Meter Girl — I also note that he didn’t even read the post, since I have no clue what he is talking about mentioning “Ace Parking”. But then, Anyone who thinks he can channel one of the English Speaking World’s greatest writers and then includes a web site that doesn’t exist can’t have a lot on the ball. JVH
