I don’t know how much tickets to the Super Bowl cost, but I read parking went for as high as $70. I wonder how many events can command that kind of price. I know if I’d forked out hundreds and hundreds for admission, airfare, hotel, car rental and so forth, $70 to park probably wouldn’t seem so bad. And I wouldn’t blink at $12 for a hot dog either. Maybe someday I’ll try it, but this year, happily, I stayed home and parked my car in my free driveway, parked my rear on my own couch, watched the show on my big screen, ate some pretty terrific guacamole, and had power the entire time.
