The IPI “Steels” into Pittsburgh

Football and the headwaters of the Ohio River have nothing on the IPI next week as the nation’s largest parking organization “steels” into the western Pennsylvania city with its conference and exhibition. You can get full details here.

According to IPI Executive Director Shawn Conrad the IPI Conference and Exhibition Beginning this coming Sunday Pittsburgh will be the largest one yet. Even larger, he noted, than the extremely successful event last year in Las Vegas. The Exhibit Floor is almost sold out with a few spots remaining in an expansion space that has just been added and they have so far filled three hotels with attendee and exhibitor personnel

As for attendance, he says that 10 days ago they were running ahead of preregistrations for the same date last year AND they expected a large number of “drive-ins” since Pittsburgh is located within a few hours of major population centers.

IPI VP Bonnie Watts adds that they have 40+ education opportunities, a number of networking opportunities and even some fun planned on Tuesday night!  The Keynote speaker on Sunday afternoon will be Steeler running back Rocky Bleier.

The organization is doing something a tad different with a “mix and mingle” cocktail party in the exhibit hall on Sunday evening. The exhibits open formally on Monday at 10am for 31/2 hours. Then they open again on Tuesday from noon to 3:30 and Wednesday from noon to 3.

The IPI always throws a great event and this year should be no exception. We’ll be there and drop by our booth 1142.
