Last year I ragged on Cleveland because they had security problems in their downtown parking and the parking operators were doing little about it. I said that it was the operator’s responsibility to do something.
Well, I’m not certain it’s because of my harangue, but they have. You can read all about it here.
I won’t go into the details but they are teaming with the city and paying for a couple of more private patrols, adding telecommunications at all the lots, and generally working together with the police to lower the crime rate. And they aren’t raising prices.
Hat’s off to the Cleveland parking operators. Way to go team.
