The problem is that cars are parked blocking critical areas when school lets out. Read about it here. This is the same time that the cops change shifts. So there are no cops to take care of the problem. The solution – start a citizens patrol that will report the problems to the cops who will follow up later.
Anybody ask what happens if a 7 11 is being robbed during this time? Do the cops just forget about crime during shift changes? Has anyone thought about this issue? Wouldn’t a better solution be to simply have a cop on scene at the school during the time that school lets out and ticket and tow all the offenders. Do that for three days and I think the problem would go away.
Surely the police are flexible enough to have staggered shifts. Well, maybe not.
