Went to the Oscars last night – was able to observe the parking and limo situation courtesy of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Valet Parking Service. It is an amazing production. I don't know how many people are involved, but certainly thousands. Security was tight. Everyone except the police was in Tuxedos. And it was cold.
Not cold like Chicago cold or New York cold, but cold like California cold – 50 degrees and the wind was blowing. Those female actors who were wearing their beautiful gowns weren't exactly warm, I'll tell you.
I was able to stand near the entry to the "red carpet" was watch what was happening. From time to time someone asked me to take their picture with their cell phone. I will tell you one thing. Out of the 6000 people who attended, I recognized maybe 7. And one was Donald Trump. I must be getting old. All these new kids coming up. I don't know any of them.
Sigh
