Jeff Seidel of the Detroit Free Press has a comprehensive list of folks who break the informal rules we all know and follow when parking in lots and garages across the fruited plain. It includes Front Row Vultures, Yellow Line Huggers, and a personal favorite The Stalker. There are 14 in all.
I particularly like Jeff’s comments about how to get even with
the Stalker – the person who slowly follows a driver return to his car so they can get the space. He knows how to psych them out. Walk purposefully to the wrong car a couple of spaces past your car. Then after they passed your space, smack your head and walk to the proper car. Heh
He also comments that he hates folks who take two spaces, the “Two Space Hoggers”. They are trying to protect their beautiful car from damage. He thinks they deserve a “yellow snow ball.” How you create the yellow snow ball is your business.
